We all know how big is the monster hunter franchise especially in Japan.Nintendo's deal with Capcom that made Monster Hunter 4 an exclusive 3DS title was a huge shock for Sony fans and a huge win for Nintendo in terms of sales. The great system seller back in the PSP days wasn't meant to appear on the powerful Sony's second handheld.
The good news is that Monster Hunter Frontier G the subscription based online game will come to the PS Vita, but it is an old title and it is not the best in the series. However it is a good start for the future of the franchise on the PS Vita, when the Nintendo-Capcom deal comes to an end.
The release date for Monster Hunter Frontier G is August 13, 2014 in Japan and similar to the PC, Wii U, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game, a subscription will be required to play the game.No news for a western release. Here is a new trailer showing the game on the PS Vita
