Sony has just released a new major firmware update for the PS Vita,including the much wanted ability to display more than 100 applications on the home screen.All the new features with pictures.
- Home screen - applications limit increased to 500 icons
- Messages - voice message functionality added.You can now send and receive voice messages using the Messages application on PS Vita. Exchange voice messages with your friends and players on PS4 and PS Vita
- Calendar - A Calendar application has been added for PS Vita, allowing you to set up gaming events with your friends. Sync your Google calendar to have all your events with you on your PS Vita. You can also share your favorite events by using the Messages and Email applications
- Content Manager - You can now view the data on your memory card, making it easier than ever to manage content on your PS Vita. You can now view memory usage by content type, and delete content and application
- Music - search for content saved on a connected device
- Photo - Rotate Screen Automatically option added, Freeform added to Panoramic modes
- Settings - option to adjust Daylight Saving automatically added
- Bluetooth keyboard support - Connect your bluetooth keyboard to write text wherever needed
- Power saving settings - Ability to set 30 minutes as an option to enter sleep mode within the power saving settings, in addition to the previously supported 1, 3, 5 and 10 minutes options.
- Dualshock 4 support - Only for PS Vita TV in Japan.Doesn't work for normal handhelds unfortunately
